Animal Glisse [Animal Slide] retranscribes an ordinary surfing session, showing the moments of waiting, the failures and the falls, while the waves are slow to come. The action takes place in a synthetic world, where digital logic has replaced the laws of nature: tides, wave cycles, birds in flight, the placement of the surfers. By modeling an analog world from natural parameters, the aim is to question the narrative that these numbers and algorithms create within an image.
