Zoetrope is a film with the overtones of a philosophical fairy tale where horses appear as a residual image of childhood. The image of a horse from zoetropes and chronophotography (which were the beginnings of animation technology) becomes the narrator of the story of an 11 year old child which describes a vision of a social utopia in animal life. The cohabitation of species is worthwhile as an aesthetic proposal. This consists in allowing different categories and types of images to coexist. In the same way that 3D horses rub shoulders with real Basque Pottoks horses filmed in their environment. Within the entity formed by the film – filmed images and computer-generated images, still images and animated images, forms resulting from automated calculations and those stemming from physical gestures, analogue images and
